Dear colleagues,
our project SPECTORS (https://spectors.eu/wordpress/), a Dutch-German INTERREG-VA-funded project aiming at improving sensor technology and its use in various fields of application including agriculture is approaching its final phase. To share some of the results and experiences we gained in remote sensing of grassland systems, to learn from other research groups for future research on this topic and to build new networks, we’d like to invite you and further partners from your network to a scientific symposium on “Remote Sensing and Modelling in Grassland Systems” in Kleve on March 18th and 19th 2020.
The scientific symposium is building on last year’s very fruitful transnational SPECTORS workshop on “Precision farming – using new technologies to optimise grassland systems”. The scientific symposium in March aims at diving into the scientific details of remote sensing and modelling in grassland systems by presenting and critically discussing latest scientific results, thereby critically evaluating the potential and shortcomings in the development of remote sensing and modelling tools for grassland management from a scientific point of view. We’d like to invite you to present your latest scientific findings as oral or poster presentation. Posters can be displayed throughout the symposium. Please send me an email until 30th of January if you will participate and provide details on your presentation title and if you want to give an oral presentation or if you will present a poster. We will let you know about our decision on the presentations (oral or poster) by February 15th.
Attached you find a preliminary outline of the symposium. We’ll organize a light dinner. If you need accommodation, you’ll find information here: https://www.kleve-tourismus.de/planen-buchen/unterkuenfte-in-kleve/hotels-und-pensionen.html
We are looking forward to hearing from you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
On behalf of the organizing team.
